Lazarev Grigory Dmitrievich

Born in 1917 in the village. Bolshoi Atlym (now the Oktyabrsky district of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra) in the family of a fisherman and a hunter. In 1937, his first poems were published in the district newspaper. His literary adaptations of folk songs and legends were published in the manuscript folklore-ethnographic and literary-art history almanac "Soviet North". After graduating from the Khanty-Mansiysk Pedagogical School in 1938, G.D. Lazarev was in charge of an elementary school. In 1939-1941. worked as the editor of the national page in the newspaper Ostyako-Vogulskaya Pravda. In 1940, the Omsk Regional Book Publishing House published the collection "Khanty and Mansiysk poetry", in which the works of GD Lazarev were also published. Drafted into the Red Army on October 15, 1941 by the Khanty-Mansiysk OVK. Combat path: fought in the 83rd Guards Mortar Regiment, participant in the Battle of Stalingrad. Demobilized on August 30, 1945. After the war he worked as editor of the newspaper "Stakhanovets" of the Laryaksky (now Nizhnevartovsky) region, secretary of the Surgut district committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, editor of the newspaper "Lenin pant khuvat". Awards: Order of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War, II degree; medals “For the Defense of Stalingrad”, “For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”, jubilee awards. He died in 1979.
