Vagatov Andrey Timofeevich

Drafted after the death of Vagatov's elder brother Semyon Timofeevich (who died on the Leningrad front on January 23, 1944). Combat path: served as a machine gunner 38703 Rifle Regiment, the first rifle battalion of an automatic company. October 29, 1944 transferred to 187 SLP 72 rifle regiment, 7 rifle company, Leningrad front. He took part in battles only on the Leningrad front. Wounded twice. After the first wound, he was treated in a hospital in Leningrad. After the second injury and dystrophy, he was sent to the hospital in Gorky, Nizhny Novgorod. He had no awards for military merit. On April 12, 1945, he was transferred to the reserve for injury and for health reasons, on the occasion of "Nutritional decline after dystrophy II - III gr." (information from the pension certificate No. 244 of the invalid of the Patriotic War). Disability group - the third. There is certificate No. 321 from the hospital, which says that Andrei Timofeevich was being treated. Issued on May 16, 1945. Awards: medal "60 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR", "70 years of the Armed Forces of the USSR", "20 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." The entire post-war life of Andrei Timofeevich took place in the villages of the Nazymsky village council (Samarovsky) of the Khanty-Mansiysk region. After the restoration of strength and health, Andrei Timofeevich, as a front-line soldier and respected person, was elected to the post of collective farm chairman. From 1947 to 1958 he worked in this position in all the villages of the Nazym village council. In 1951 A.T. Vaganov was sent to the district Soviet party school at the Khanty-Mansiysk regional executive committee in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk. In 1962-1963. worked as chairman of the Nazym village council in the village of Kyshik. After leaving his post in March 1963, he again worked as a fisherman-hunter of the state industrial farm, until his retirement on January 1, 1978. After retirement, he was engaged in personal reindeer husbandry, hunting, and fishing. The products were handed over to the state industrial farm. For his labor activity, Andrey Timofeevich has many labor awards, medals, orders and incentives. Has the title: Veteran of Labor of the Russian Federation. Honorary citizen of the Khanty-Mansiysk region. He died on April 18, 2006. He was buried at the cemetery in the village of Kyshik.
