The best volunteers of Russia will help in holding the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation supported the initiative of the Movement to have the best Victory Volunteers accompany the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg. Since its inception, the Movement has annually held the Victory Ambassadors competition. Its winners help in holding major commemorative events in different cities of the country, the main of which is the Victory Parade on Red Square. And starting next year, the competition is expanding its boundaries. It is planned that the Victory Volunteers in conjunction with UNARMIA will assist in the holding of the Main Naval Parade. In 2022, Victory Ambassadors will visit veterans of the Navy, help in the improvement of memorial sites, and accompany spectators and invited guests of the parade. “Scaling up the Victory Ambassadors competition for the Main Naval Parade will give an additional impetus to the development of volunteering to preserve historical memory. This is an opportunity for the best volunteers from all over the country to represent their region and help in organizing such a grand patriotic event in St. Petersburg, "said Olga Amelchenkova, head of the Victory Volunteers. The competition has been held by the Movement since 2015. More than 25,000 young people have become its participants in 7 years. These are the best volunteers from different regions of Russia who help war veterans, improve memorial sites and military graves, and preserve their historical memory. Many of the winners were awarded Letters of Gratitude from the President of Russia and other significant awards. Victory Ambassadors have already become a good tradition of the Victory Volunteers movement. The competition unites cities and people, and volunteers dream of being among the winners in order to meet with the same caring guys and help in holding commemorative events. Volunteers admit that participation in the competition provides an opportunity not only to touch the story and say “thank you” to the heroes personally, but helps in the development of personal competencies and skills. “Active, caring, energetic young men and women from different regions of the country are worthy representatives of the Victory Volunteers social movement. You have devoted yourself to a large and very necessary cause - you are participating in the restoration of monuments to the fallen heroes and the improvement of military graves, you are implementing many interesting educational, patriotic projects. You support veterans who, in these difficult times, especially need care and attention. Such a demanded, truly selfless activity deserves the deepest recognition ", - the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin previously noted the activities of the Victory Ambassadors.
