Born on May 30, 1919 in the village of Pichugino (now the Melenkovsky district of the Vladimir region). Before being drafted into the ranks of the Red Army, he worked as a driver with a total experience before the war: 7 years 9 months. He did military service from October 1939 in the 284th Mechanized Regiment as a driver. July 1, 1941 was mobilized into the ranks of the Red Army. Combat path: participated in battles as part of the 284th Separate Motorized Special Purpose Battalion, liberated Prague, Budapest, participated in the storming of Berlin. September 1945 - January 1946: was the commander of squad # 2966 of the Field Army Engineering Warehouse. January 1946 - July 1946: squad leader of the 31st Separate Guards Battalion. In one of the battles A.I. Burtsev was wounded in the right thigh. On September 13, 1942 he was demobilized on the basis of the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated 03/20/1946. Awards: Order of the Patriotic War, II degree; medals "For Military Merit", "30 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", "For the Liberation of Warsaw", "For the Capture of Berlin", the "Veteran of Labor" medal. In 1948 A.I. Burtsev was admitted to the Murom Gortop as a driver of the Pichuginsky forest area. Melenkovsky timber industry enterprise. He worked in the Staritsky forest area of ​​the Kalininskaya region from October 15, 1952 to November 2, 1953.
