Ivanov worked as a party organizer of the regional committee at the Laryak fish factory. In 1955 he went to live in the Tomsk region. In 1960 he returned to Nizhnevartovsk. Until 1969 he worked as a worker on a collective farm in the village of Bylin, Nizhnevartovsk region. He died in 1990 and was buried in Nizhnevartovsk.
