Valei Prokopiy Petrovich

Born in the mountains of the Subpolar Urals on July 21, 1926, in the family of hereditary reindeer breeders Pyotr Stakheevich and Alexandra Vasilievna Valeya. On May 25, 1943, the Berezovsky RVK was drafted into the active army. Combat path: participated in battles as part of the 45th artillery regiment of the MGinskaya Red Banner Order of Suvorov Division. He took part in the storming of Konigsberg, a participant in the war with Japan. Awards: Order of the Patriotic War, II degree; medals "For Courage", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", "For Victory over Japan", "For the capture of Konigsberg", jubilee. Demobilized on March 28, 1950. After the war, Prokopiy Petrovich married Anastasia Nikolaevna Popova, together with his wife worked in reindeer husbandry until retirement. They raised nine children: six daughters and three sons. Passed away on October 27, 1991.
