Was born in 1922 in the Northern Urals. In 1941 he was mobilized into the ranks of the Red Army. Military path: began service in the Murmansk direction in the 14th border army, participated in the battles for Stalingrad. Starshina E.S. Vakhrin fought as part of the 1st Belorussian Front of the 8th Guards Army of the Order of Lenin, 28th Corps of the 74th Separate Guards Machine-Gun Division as a gun commander. Together with fellow soldiers, he crossed the rivers: Dnieper, Bug, Seret, Prut, Dniester, Oder, Vistula. Participated in the liberation of the cities of Nikopol, Odessa, Warsaw, Dresden, in the capture of Poznan, Berlin. He was wounded three times. Demobilized in 1946. Awards: two Orders of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree; medals "For Courage", "For Military Merit", "For the Capture of Stalingrad", "For the Capture of Warsaw", "For the Capture of Berlin". Since 1975 he lived in the city of Nefteyugansk. Worked as an operator at Yuganskneft NGDU. Chevalier of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
