Born in 1912 in the village. Krivolutskoe, Omsk region. The Zakharovs family moved to Surgut before the October Revolution. Before the start of World War II, Pyotr Nikitovich worked at the Surgut food processing plant. In July 1941 he was drafted into the active Red Army. Combat path: fought on the Kalinin, Baltic, Northern fronts. On August 21, 1942, he was seriously wounded in the battles for the city of Rzhev. After being wounded, Pyotr Nikitovich again returned to the ranks of the defenders of the Motherland. In August 1944, senior sergeant Zakharov penetrated into the rear of the enemy, blew up two bunkers there, sowed panic in the enemy's camp, thereby facilitating the success of the units advancing from the front. I celebrated Victory Day in Königsberg. Then he was transferred to the Far East where he continued to serve. Awards: medals "For Military Merit", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." He returned home in 1946. In the post-war period he was in charge of the bakery of a fish cooperative in Surgut. Together with their brother Alexander, they built a house for two owners, where they lived together, supporting each other in everything. Pyotr Nikitovich passed away on March 15, 1964.
