They spent two productive days in the capital of Serbia, dedicated to training and exchange of experience in implementing projects to perpetuate the memory of World War II heroes, discussing measures to counter attempts to falsify history.
The second day of the forum began with a flower-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame at the Memorial to the Liberators of Belgrade. It was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Serbia Alexander Botan-Kharchenko, Minister of Innovation and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia Nenad Popovich, Co-Chairman of the Central Staff of the Immortal Regiment of Russia OOD, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Elena Tsunaeva, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee State Duma of the Russian Federation for CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots, Director of the Institute of CIS Countries Konstantin Zatulin and all participants of the forum "Memory of the Winners".
The plenary session of the forum "Conducting the Procession of the Immortal Regiment and Patriotic Projects in the Near and Far Abroad Countries" was opened by a video message from the People's Artist of Russia Irina Kupchenko. She recalled the unifying power of the Immortal Regiment and that two years ago she participated in the first forum.
The forum participants shared their projects to preserve the historical truth - this is holding festivals, poetry evenings and screenings of war films, working with military graves and memorials, organizing historical lessons and competitions for children and youth, working on the Internet and social networks.
“The immortal regiment is not only the organization of the procession itself, it is a great educational work both with compatriots and with people of different
nationalities living in the country under its supervision. Coordinators conduct online projects, look for common points in history, establish the fate of the fighters against Nazism. The speech of Dmitry Fedotov, advisor to the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, was very important: he suggested using the potential of the federal agency to the maximum for the development of projects and the work of coordinators, ”said Elena Tsunaeva, who acted as a moderator of the section.
At the end of the day, the participants of the forum were presented with certificates, a concert was held in honor of the Day of National Unity - at the international forum, favorite songs of the war years were performed by "the voice of the Immortal for the time being of Russia", soloist of the largest domestic and foreign musical groups Mikhail Gavrilov.
At the forum, everyone listened with interest to each other, discussed each report, exchanged contacts, which means that projects to preserve the memory of the heroes of World War II will overcome borders and will spread further throughout the countries of the world, broadcasting the truth and instilling true values in the descendants of the winners.
The participants decided to meet regularly in the form of online conferences in order to continue the exchange of experience.
