Bykov Ignatiy Pavlovich

Born on January 2, 1925 in the village of Solyanaya, now the Tobolsk District of the Tyumen Region, into a family of kulaks. In 1930 the family was repressed and sent to the village. Pokur, now Nizhnevartovsk region, and then to Surgut. He graduated from the 7th grade of the school. In 1941, at the age of 16, Ignatiy Bykov was sent by the Surgut district military enlistment office to Omsk for military training. In order to go to the front, Ignatius attributed to himself a year of life. As a result, he was sent to the active Red Army on August 16, 1942. Combat path: served in the 104th, 392nd, 1214th, 94th, 252nd, 259th rifle regiments and 18th artillery regiment defended Leningrad, participated in the liberation of Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus. I got to Berlin. He was wounded several times, including severe wounds to the arm and leg. On October 27, 1943, senior sergeant Bykov in the area of ​​the "ZUB" height near the village of Karbusel in the Mginsky district of the Leningrad region tracked down a group of German scouts and opened devastating fire on them. Only a few of the group of German scouts, leaving the dead and wounded, were able to escape from this fire. In this battle, Ignatius Pavlovich destroyed six enemy soldiers. In January 1944 he took part in the battles during the capture of the village of Nurmo and the town of Tosno in the Leningrad Region. Under Tosno I.P. Bykov destroyed over 35 fascists from a heavy machine gun. Awards: Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree; medals "For Military Merit", "For Courage", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." After the end of World War II, senior sergeant Bykov served for some time in the ranks of the Red Army. Then he returned to Pokur. In 1949, he graduated from the Khanty-Mansiysk trade and cooperative school with a degree in fish cooperative instructor and was sent to the Surgut regional fish industry consumer union. Ignatiy Pavlovich worked there for many years. Received the "Labor Veteran" medal. Together with his wife he raised a daughter and a son. Passed away November 19, 1997.
