Kaidalov Nikolay Andreevich

Born on November 6, 1909 in Surgut. Graduated from the Surgut school. Fishing, hunting, carpentry. He worked as an authorized representative of the regional catering department of the Omsk railway. When the war began, he immediately applied to the front as a volunteer, but he was only drafted on September 1, 1941. He studied at the Omsk sniper school. In early November 1941, as part of a marching battalion, he arrived in Vologda, where the 27th Infantry Division was being formed. Nikolai Andreevich was enrolled in a foot reconnaissance platoon of a rifle regiment. Combat path: He fought on the Karelian, 2nd Belorussian fronts, in East Prussia, Poland, defended Murmansk, participated in offensive battles. I went to the port of Pillau. On his sniper account 124 enemy soldiers and officers. He was wounded several times. In March 1942 he took part in the sortie of the reconnaissance group, which captured five "languages". In June 1944, during the fighting on the Karelian Front, Nikolai Andreevich was wounded by mine shrapnel in the neck and right temple, but refused to go to the hospital. I spent my whole life with this shard. In 1945, in the battle for the town of Stolp, Nikolai Andreevich, acting as a platoon commander, showed heroism and courage. The enemy was entrenched in the city cemetery among the stone gravestones and crosses. When the company commander was killed during the attack, confusion ensued and the soldiers lay down. Then junior sergeant Kaidalov took over command of the company, roused the fighters to attack and drove the Germans out of the cemetery. In the spring of 1945 in Poland, the head of the political department instructed the brave communist fighter Kaidalov to act as the party organizer of the battalion. During the last battles on the coast of the Baltic Sea, Nikolai Andreevich on April 25, 1945, was severely wounded by a shell burst. He ended up in a hospital in the city of Naishtat in Germany, while his family received a funeral. Only in the fall, N.A. Kaidalov was able to inform his family that he was alive and would soon return home. Awards: Order of Glory II and III degrees, Order of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War, I class; medals "For Courage", "For Military Merit", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." After returning to Surgut, N.A. Kaidalov built a house behind Saimaa, on Severnaya Street. In peacetime he worked in the system of consumer cooperation. Until his last days he was fishing and doing housework. Passed away on October 3, 1989.
