Pershin Pavel Kuzmich

Born on August 15, 1926 in the village of Varlym (now the Vagaysky district of the Tyumen region). Drafted into military service in May 1944 from the Kondinsky district. Combat path: fought on the Third Ukrainian Front, was the commander of a squadron of parachute troops. He took the first battle during the liberation of Hungary, then took part in the liberation of Austria. He took part in the liberation of the cities of Winnerna - Stadt, Baden, stormed Vienna. After the capture of Vienna, the 9th Army was transferred to another sector of the front in the Alpine Mountains. Here on the morning of April 24, 1945, P.K. Pershin sniper shot. was wounded in the right shoulder. I met victory in the hospital. From the hospital he returned to his unit and continued to serve in the airborne troops until the end of September 1950. After demobilization in September 1950, P.K. Pershin arrived in Khanty-Mansiysk, where he worked at the airport for 28 years. Awards: two Orders of Glory, III degree, Order of the Patriotic War, I degree; medals "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", "For Labor Distinction", "For Valiant Labor.
