Kozhevin Fyodor Pavlovich

Born on March 8, 1917 in the village of Aranik, Kozhimsky district. Komi ASSR. In 1917, together with his family, he moved to the village. Saranpaul. After finishing 5 classes of the Saranpaul school F.P. Kozhevin began working on the Saranpaulsky collective farm. In April 1938 he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army. In February 1943 F.P. Kogevin went to the front. Combat path: participated in battles from March 1943 to May 1945, fought on the Central, Bryansk and Belorussian fronts. I met the victory in Berlin. Demobilized in 1946. Awards: medals "For Military Merit", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." Fyodor Pavlovich, who returned home, married Anastasia Grigorievna Smetanina. 8 children were born from the marriage: Alexey, Vladimir, Faina, Nina, Galina, Maria, Natalia, Lydia. In the postwar years, F.P. Kogevin worked as an insurance agent, then as a bakery manager. He was often invited to school for patriotic lessons, where Fyodor Petrovich shared with his students his memories of the war. He died on August 9, 1985, was buried in the village. Saranpaul.
