Serednyakov Ivan Fedorovich

Was born in 1924 in the village. Okoneshnikovo (now the Omsk region). A member of the Komsomol since 1941. On August 14, 1941, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Red Army. He completed his initial military training at a tank technical school in the city of Saratov. Combat path: from 1941 to 1942 he fought on the Leningrad Front in an infantry regiment. From November 1944 to May 1945 he fought on the First Belorussian Front in the 115th tank battalion (a separate reconnaissance battalion). He liberated Belarus, Poland, participated in the storming of Berlin. Wounds: received a severe head wound, was shell-shocked. Treatment took place in a hospital in Yaroslavl in 1942.
