On May 26, 1943, Dorofey was drafted into the Red Army by the Khanty-Mansiysk OVK. Combat path: participated in battles as part of the 356th division on the First Ukrainian Front. January 24, 1944 Dorofey was wounded. After treatment, he was discharged and sent home in 1944.
Awards: Order of the Red Star, Order of the Patriotic War; medals "For Courage", "For the capture of Kiev", "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945." After completing courses in Khanty-Mansiysk, Dorofei Nikolayevich worked as the head of the hut-reading room in Khurumpaul, then as the secretary of the Lombovozhsky village council, head of the trade point, after that he worked as the head of the Lombovozhsky rural club. Before retirement, he worked as a junior salesman at the Harumpaul trading point.
In 1955 he was elected as a deputy of the Lombovo Rural Council.
He died on June 25, 1994, and was buried in Igrim village of Berezovsky district.
