Nikolai Alexandrovich was born in Tyumen. In October 1943, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army and sent to the 105th NKVD regiment on the Ukrainian front. While serving at the border, he participated in the liberation of Moldova and Belarus. Nikolai Gorbunov celebrated Victory Day in Romania.
The war hero was awarded medals “For Courage”, “For Victory over Germany”, “For Military Merit”, as well as “For the Liberation of Belarus”.
The veteran moved to Ugra almost 30 years after the end of the war. Nikolai Alexandrovich has two children and two grandchildren. A resident of Ugra represents our region in the parade platoon of the Ural Federal District.
The hero of the day received congratulations not only from the governor, he was also congratulated by the authorities of Tyumen, where he was born, and from the capital of the country, the chairman of the FSB Council of Veterans also conveyed his wishes for health.
