Every year, on June 12, a significant day is celebrated, The Russian Federation Day. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, “The holiday is dedicated to our native country, filled with pride in its history, faith in its future.” Festive events are held in all regions of the country, including abroad.

Thus, a concert program was held in Azerbaijan with the participation of Mikhail Evdokimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Azerbaijan, representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and the Russian House in Baku.

With the support of the Russian House, national concerts and festive events were held in Bishkek. The Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Imankulov made a welcoming speech. He noted the mental closeness of the peoples of the two countries. “Our peoples are united by a much longer historical period of co-existence in a single country. A festive concert was held on the stage of the spiritual and cultural center of the Holy Dormition Cathedral, at which creative teams of compatriots performed. “Today we celebrate a wonderful holiday – The Russian Federation Day, and it is very pleasant that the residents of the capital shared this event with us. After all, Russia and Kazakhstan are not only economic partners, but also fraternal peoples united by a century-old history,” the head of the Russian House in Astana said in her opening speech.

In the People’s Republic of China, The Russian Federation Day was celebrated with the start of the festival “The Word about the Russian Heart,” which took place during the international festival “Common Sense.” The event is dedicated to the cross-cultural year of Russia and China and has become one of the largest projects that will tell the People’s Republic of China about Russia. According to the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Yevgeny Primakov, the festival is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China. “Social communication and knowledge of the cultural code of the country are the basis for long-term and good-neighborly contacts,” the head of Rossotrudnichestvo stated.

Activists of the Union of Russian Communities of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic unfurled a large Russian flag in the center of Tiraspol. According to the representatives of the organization, The Russian Federation Day is a great holiday for them.

Russian Center of the Tajik National University hosted festive events from May 20 to June 15, 2024, dedicated to the 225th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin’s birth, the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, the Day of Russia, organized by the Russian Center, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Tajikistan–Russia Friendship Society. The Russian House in Khojent held a campaign “Russian Tricolor” for high school students of the city to distribute ribbons and a flash mob “We are with Russia,” launching balloons in the colors of the Russian flag into the sky.

The celebration of The Russian Federation Day took place in Minsk and other major cities of the Republic of Belarus. During the meeting, the participants stressed the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries, noting that relations between Russia and Belarus are based on a long history of friendship and mutual respect.

Thematic lessons on the history and culture of Russia were held in educational institutions. Lectures and meetings with Russian scientists, writers and cultural figures were held in schools and universities. Thus, the celebration of The Russian Federation Day in Belarus was held at a high level, strengthening cultural and economic ties between the two countries.

The Days of Russia Festival in the Serbian Republic took place in the main city of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Banja Luka. At the same time, the Serbian Government, headed by Prime Minister Milos Vucevic, attended a reception in honor of The Russian Federation Day at the Russian Embassy in Belgrade. “It is very important to work to preserve and protect our traditional and religious values. Serbia is thinking about its national interests in bilateral cooperation,” said Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Botan-Kharchenko.

More than 300 events were held in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Ugra on the territory of all municipalities of the region during the All-Russian campaign “#ProudOfHomeland.” A district photo contest “My People are my Pride” was organized in Ugra to celebrate The Russian Federation Day and the Year of the Family. Acting Governor of the Autonomous Okrug Ruslan Kuharuk congratulated fellow countrymen on the most significant holiday of the country. “As the Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly noted, Russia’s strength is a united, great people. Together we will overcome all obstacles, achieve national development goals, and create conditions for the future. Our unity is the main answer to all challenges,” the message reads.

Ruslan Kuharuk noted that the whole country is proud of the residents of Ugra, who are “faithful to the traditions of the Winners, innovators of the era of the development of the first oil, who forged the power of Russia.”
