Gavrina (Surgutskova) Taisia Alekseevna

She was born on October 18, 1922 in the village Repolovo (now the Khanty-Mansiysk region). On August 25, 1941 she was mobilized into the ranks of the Red Army and sent as a medical instructor to the 351st regiment, 20th battalion, 5th company. Arrived by train in the Saratov region, in the Tatishchevsky forests. She studied here for 2 months. In early August, a passage of 250 km was made, to the Stalingrad region. Combat path: served as a medical instructor, provided medical assistance to wounded soldiers in Stalingrad. There were heavy battles, not only had to save the wounded, but also to carry the weapons of the soldiers. Risking her own life, she evacuated the wounded soldiers to the hospital under bullets. When trying to take height 152, almost the entire regiment was killed, only 50 soldiers remained. After the defeat of the Germans at Stalingrad, the division in which Taisiya Alekseevna served was sent to form in the Saratov region. Then they transferred to the Kalinin front. They did not take part in battles, they were in the second echelon. Later they were transferred to the Oryol direction. September 13, near Smolensk T.A. Gavrina was wounded and sent to the Sokol hospital in the Volgograd region until January 1944. After being discharged from the hospital she worked in Vologda, then in 1945 she served as an older sister at the military hospital train 162. Here she was later awarded the rank of junior lieutenant of the medical service. I met the victory in the town of Tilsit in East Prussia. Awards: Order of the Red Star; medals "For Victory over Germany", "For Military Merit", "For the Defense of Stalingrad", jubilee medals. After the war she worked in Tyumen. Since 1946 she worked as a senior nurse in Khanty-Mansiysk.
