Medvedeva (Sidorova) Galina Fedorovna

Born on July 29, 1923 in Balakovo (now the Saratov region). Parents: father Sidorov Fyodor Dmitrievich (1892-1961) worked as a firefighter in the village of Repyevka, Saratov region. Mother Maria (Patronymic unknown) was a housewife and died in 1937. Besides Galina, there were 3 more sisters: Elena, born in 1911, Anna in 1919, Anastasia, born in 1914. From the age of 14, Galina was brought up by her older sisters. Galina graduated from a teacher training college in Balakovo with a degree in Kindergarten teacher. On July 10, 1943, she was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army. After completing short-term communications courses, she was sent as a telegraph operator to the anti-aircraft artillery regiment of the 1st Belorussian Front. Combat path: served in the anti-aircraft artillery regiment of the 1st Belorussian Front. During the battles on the territory of the Latvian SSR Galina Fedorovna met the lieutenant - artilleryman Anatoly Andreevich Medvedev on November 15, 1944 in Riga, they got married. In March 1945, Galina Fyodorovna was demobilized, after completing the service she came to Khanty-Mansiysk to her husband's parents, worked as the head of the 24-hour kindergarten "Alyonushka". In 1955, in connection with the transfer of her husband, she moved to the village. Nakhrachi (now the village of Kondinskoe), where she worked as the head of the kindergarten "Zolotaya Rybka" of the Kondinsky fish factory. Before retiring to a well-deserved rest in 1984, she was active in public work - she was a member of the women's council of a fish factory, was a member of the choir of war and labor veterans. She passed away on November 12, 1988.
