Ivanov Arkady Ivanovich

Born on March 18, 1920 in the village of Sokolovka (now the Tobolsk district of the Tyumen region). Drafted into active military service on August 30, 1940 by the Khanty-Mansiysk OVK. Combat path: from 1941 to 1945 he fought as part of the 933rd separate artillery battery, was the deputy commander of a reconnaissance platoon. Participated in the war with Japan. The rank is senior sergeant. After the war, he worked for 20 years at the hydrometeorological observatory in Khanty-Mansiysk as an engineer, head of department, deputy director. Total work experience is 47 years. Awards: Order of the Patriotic War, II degree; medals "For Military Merit", "For Victory over Japan", "Veteran of Labor", the badge "Excellent Hydrometeorological Service of the USSR". Awarded the honorary title "Veteran of the Omsk Hydrometeorological Service". He died on November 6, 1983. He was buried in Khanty-Mansiysk at the Northern Cemetery.
