Menshchikov Fyodor Fyodorovich

Was born on October 3, 1925 in Surgut. In 1943 he was drafted into the ranks of the active Red Army. He completed his initial military training in 1943 at the Tomsk Military School. Combat path: took part in battles on the 3rd Belorussian Front. Demobilized in 1955 from the naval aviation with the rank of senior lieutenant. Awards: medals "For Courage", "For Military Merit", "For the Capture of Konigsberg", "For the Capture of Berlin", "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." After the end of the war, he worked as a labor teacher in a secondary school in Surgut. He died on August 15, 1983, and was buried in Surgut.
