She was born on August 20, 1920 in Kramatorsk. In 1939, she graduated from a medical college, a civilian specialty-medical assistant. September 1, 1943 Kramatorsk was liberated by the Red Army. Maria Petrovna was called up by the field recruiting office of the Kramatorsk district of the Donetsk region, sent to the front. The combat path of M.P. Gireyeva marched on the front line, she provided first aid to the wounded. Later, Maria Petrovna was appointed senior nurse of the surgical department. As part of the 4th Ukrainian Front (field order), lieutenant of the medical service, military paramedic M.P. Gireyeva reached Poland. The hospital in which Maria Petrovna served, provided medical assistance to prisoners of war in the state inspection camp located on the territory of Auschwitz. In March 1950, Maria Petrovna was demobilized. Awards: Order of the Patriotic War, II degree; medal "Veteran of Labor". After the war, M.P. Gireyeva headed the medical center at the mine of Makeevka in the Ukrainian SSR, was the chairman of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society. In 1989, being retired, she came to Urai to visit her daughter. In Uray she worked as a senior nurse in kindergarten №12. She died on November 20, 2001.
