Motorin Ilya Nikitich

Born in 1897 in the village of Andreevka (now the Sverdlovsk Region). Since the 1930s. lived in Ostyako-Vogulsk, worked on the construction of a power plant. In 1941, the Khanty-Mansiysk OVK was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army. Combat path: took part in battles on the North-Western Front. On December 22, 1944, in the Latvian SSR, when breaking through the enemy's defenses, Ilya Motorin suppressed an enemy mortar battery with his fire, which contributed to the further success of the combat operation. Awards: Order of the Red Star, Order of Glory III degree.
