Residents of Ugra planted their garden of memory, 10 thousand saplings of Siberian cedar pine, as part of the "Save and Preserve" campaign.
The Garden of Remembrance project invites people around the world to plant 27 million trees in memory of the 27 million people who died during the Great Patriotic War. More than a hundred eco-activists, despite the rain and cool weather, left the city and planted trees to the music of the war years. The day before, at school No. 1 in Khanty-Mansiysk, the "Memory Garden" was dedicated to teachers and students who went to the front. Schools No. 5 and No. 6 planted trees in honor of the Heroes of the Soviet Union from Ugra Nikolai Sirin and Ivan Beznoskov. In Uray, an alley of 30 apple trees appeared in the schoolyard.
