Vokuev Gavriil Timofeevich

Born on March 22, 1921 in the village of Shchekurya (now Berezovsky district) in the family of Timofey and Alexandra Yakovlevna Vokuev. The family was large: Andrey, Alexander, Galaktion, Fedor, Isaac, Gabriel, Dmitry and Anna. In 1940, the Berezovsky RVK was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army. He graduated from the Omsk Infantry School and arrived at the front as a communications officer. Senior Lieutenant G.T. Vokuev participated in battles as part of the 594th Infantry Regiment of the 207th Red Banner Pomeranian Infantry Division as commander of a mortar platoon. Awards: Order of the Red Star, Order of Glory III degree, Order of the Patriotic War II degree; medals: "For the Liberation of Warsaw", "For Military Merit", "For the Capture of Berlin", "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", two certificates of honor from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the USSR IV Stalin. Demobilized in 1956. Gavriil Timofeevich worked in the Igrim settlement of the Berezovsky district at the Igrimgaz GTU as a radio operator. Wife - Maria Alexandrovna Burundukova. The family had five children: Alexander, Sergey, Dmitry, Andrey, Tamara. He died on June 10, 1992, and was buried in Igrim.
