Fraternal assistance to Ukraine
At the initiative of the party and Komsomol bodies of organizations, the workers of the Omsk region took patronage over the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine liberated from the Nazis. The Omsk Regional Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks did a lot of work at industrial enterprises in the collective and state farms of the region.

Loggers, fishermen, hunters, workers, collective farmers and the intelligentsia of the Khanty-Mansiysk National Okrug allocated for 1943-1944. about 500 thousand rubles to the fund of assistance to the Zaporizhzhya region. Almost 100 heads of cattle, 256 horses, 800 pigs and sheep, 1.5 poods of grain and flour, 838 centners of potatoes and vegetables were sent.

Builders, doctors, teachers, cultural workers voluntarily went from the district to the Zaporozhye region. The Khanty-Mansiysk timber industry enterprise sent an echelon of commercial timber to Zaporozhye, collective farms - 3 thousand centners of seed materials, 2 thousand heads of cattle, the Samarovskiy combine and fish factories - hundreds of centners of fish products. Collectives of schools and educational institutions provided the Ukrainian children with textbooks, literature, and visual aids.

All this tremendous work was carried out in a period of great tension in the name of the final victory over the enemy.
